Farm Promotions for Perfect Match and 20/20 Match
Stud farms can promote the stallions they stand on G1 Goldmine and Stallion Match. A promotion puts the stallion in front of breeders worldwide, and gives the farm access to the analytics behind the searches being run against him.
This article explains how promotions work. If you are a breeder rather than a farm, it also explains why some stallions carry photographs and contact options while others do not.
How it works
A farm pays a small annual fee for each stallion promoted. That covers the stallion's enhanced presence on the platform and gives the farm access to the analytics environment.

What a promoted stallion shows breeders
Photographs. Conformation images appear in the Image(s) panel on every match involving the stallion. See Stallion images and profiles.
Farm branding. The farm's logo sits alongside the pedigree on the match screen.
Current fee and season. The directory lists the service fee and the year it applies to, so breeders are working from a current figure rather than one of uncertain vintage.
A direct enquiry route. Breeders can contact the farm about a specific mating from within the result. See Contacting a stud farm.
The stallion also becomes searchable through the promoted stallion roster, including for breeders on the Free plan, who can search promoted stallions but not the wider database.
What the farm gets back
The more substantial half of a promotion is the analytics, delivered through a purpose-built environment for farms and their staff at stallionmatch.com.
Search data on your stallion. Detail on the searches breeders are running against him, rather than a view count.
The rating each search returned. This is the part that changes how a farm works. You can see which mares rated a Perfect Match or 20/20 Match against your stallion, which means you can approach the breeders whose mares rated highest rather than marketing to everyone equally.
That is a different proposition from advertising. A breeder whose mare already rates well against your stallion has effectively pre-qualified themselves, and the conversation starts from evidence rather than from a cold approach.
A direct line to breeders. Enquiries sent through Contact Farm arrive with the stallion, the mare and the breeder's details attached, so you know what is being asked about before you reply.
What breeders should know
If you run a match against a promoted stallion, the farm can see the rating that match returned. That is how a farm may know to contact you about a mare that suits their stallion.
Your notification settings control whether you receive messages from farms.
