The Pedigree X-Ray Report
The Pedigree X-Ray Report analyses a single mating in depth. Choose a stallion and a mare, or a horse already in the database, and the report shows how that cross has performed historically and whether the pedigree lines up with patterns found in stakes winners.
It is the same analysis you get for each stallion in a Broodmare Analysis Report, for one mating at a time.
What it costs
A Pedigree X-Ray Report is priced in your own currency: AU$15, US$15, CAD$15, NZ$15, EUR10, GBP10, JPY2,000 or ZAR250 per report. Reports are usually ready to view and download within minutes. For 10 or more reports, message us for bulk pricing.

What is in the report
Pedigree Score and Stallion Match
The header shows the stallion, his farm, location and fee, with the Pedigree Score out of 100. If the mating is a 20/20 Match or a Perfect Match, a banner says so. A 20/20 Match pattern appears 2.3 times more often in stakes winners’ pedigrees. 24% of stakes winners carry a Perfect Match, against 3% of underperforming horses. See Understanding the Ratings: Perfect Match and 20/20 Match.
Pedigree chart and badges
A five-generation pedigree with race and produce achievements under each ancestor, such as MG1W for a multiple Group 1 winner or G1Pr for a Group 1 producer. Click Legend for the full list. Ancestors that appear more than once are highlighted.
Seven badges under the chart summarise the pedigree’s structure, including duplication, balance and the Rasmussen and Sex Balance theories. Hover over each badge to read what it found. Green is a favourable result and red flags something to look at more closely.

Dosage Summary
The Speed, Classic and Stamina split for the mating, with the Dosage Index (DI) and Centre of Distribution (CD). See Dosage Explained: DI, CD and Chefs-de-Race.
Similar Stakes Winners
Stakes winners whose pedigrees resemble this mating, with their Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3 wins, Exact Score and Similarity Score. See Understanding the Exact Score (E) and Similar Score (CSI).
Impact Profile and TIGHT
Two grids showing the 20 key crosses between the stallion’s and mare’s ancestors. Each cell shows how that cross has produced stakes winners against expectation: gold well above, green above, white at expectation and red below. The TIGHT grid only counts a stakes winner when the two ancestors sit in the same quarter positions, so green and gold there are a stronger signal. Tick Show Stakes Winner count to see the number of stakes winners behind each cell.

See Impact Analysis TIGHT Explained.
Aptitude Profile
The latest winners resembling this pedigree, plotted by distance and age, with the average winning distance, average winning age and the male to female split. Switch between Winners and Stakes Winners. See Aptitude Profile Explained.
Sire, Dam Sire, Grand Sire and Nicking Stats
Runners, winners, stakes winners and strike rates for the sire, the dam sire and the sire’s sire, plus the nick between the sire and the dam sire.
Sibling Snapshot, Market Context and Sire’s Progeny
Sales results and race records for horses out of the first three dams, the sire’s yearling sales figures and his recent stakes winners. Together they give the mating commercial context. See Sibling Sales Snapshot Explained.
Pedigree X-Ray or Broodmare Analysis Report?
The Pedigree X-Ray covers one mating. The Broodmare Analysis Report runs your mare against up to 150 stallions and ranks them, with the same analysis for each. Use the X-Ray when you already have a stallion in mind, and the Broodmare Report when you are building a shortlist.
The report supports your decision with historical pedigree and racing patterns. Breeding outcomes depend on many factors and no result is guaranteed.
