How to Change Your Password

You can change your password from the My Account page. You will need your current password to do it.

How to change it

Log in and click your avatar at the top right of any page.
Select My Account.
Find Login and Security, then click Change beside Password.
Three fields appear in place of the masked password. Enter your current password, then your new password, then the new password again to confirm.
Click Save.

The fields open inline on the page rather than in a pop-up window, so if nothing appears to happen when you click Change, look directly beneath the Password heading.

Click Cancel to close the fields without changing anything.

Password requirements

Your new password must be:

At least 8 characters long
Include at least one number
Include at least one symbol

A password that does not meet all three will be rejected when you save.

Choosing a new password

Use a password you do not use anywhere else. A password manager is the easiest way to do this, and most browsers now include one.

Longer beats complicated. Several unrelated words together are both harder to guess and easier to remember than a short string of substituted characters.

If your password is not accepted

Check it meets all three requirements. Eight characters alone is not enough without a number and a symbol.

Check the current password field. This is the most common cause. The form needs your existing password before it will set a new one.

Check the two new password fields match. They must be identical.

Check for autofill. A browser or password manager may have filled a saved password into the wrong field. Clear the fields and type them.

If you have forgotten your password

You cannot use this form without your current password. Instead, log out and use the forgotten password option on the login screen, which sends a reset link to your registered email address.
