Using the Country Filter
The Country Filter narrows Pedigree Search results to runners that raced in the countries you choose. Use it when you want the statistics to reflect a particular racing jurisdiction, such as Australia and New Zealand, rather than the whole world.
Setting the filter
- Open Pedigree Search. The filter works with both Standard Search and Gen Search.
- Click Country Filter under the Search button.
- Open Select Countries. All 40 countries are selected by default.
- Untick Select All to clear the list, then tick each country you want to include.
- Click Confirm Selection, then run your search.

Changing the filter on your results
The Country Filter button also sits beside Edit Search on the results page. Change the countries and click Confirm Selection, and the results update straight away, without re-entering your search.
To go back to worldwide results, tick Select All and confirm.

An example
With Snitzel in H1 and every country selected, the search returns 5,887 runners and 274 stakes winners. Filtered to Australia and New Zealand only, it returns 5,544 runners and 258 stakes winners, so the strike rates reflect how horses with Snitzel on the sire's side have performed in Australasian racing.
Tips
- Filtering reduces the number of runners. Check the runner count before relying on a strike rate, as small samples can swing widely.
- The filter is based on where each runner raced, not where it was foaled.
- The Country Filter applies to Pedigree Search only.
