The AI Name Assistant
The AI Name Assistant suggests names for a foal, drawn from the sire and dam of the mating you are looking at. It is included on all membership tiers.

How it works
Pick a theme from the dropdown and five suggestions appear beneath it. Click the refresh icon to generate a fresh set on the same theme.
Suggestions are built from the names of both parents. Matching Rafeef with War Path, for example, returns names such as Rafefire, Warflash, Firecrest, Pathblaze and Rafepride, each drawing on one or both.
That is the convention the industry already follows. A name that nods to the sire, the dam or both is doing useful work on a sales page, because it signals the pedigree before anyone reads the catalogue entry.
The five themes
- Nobel Heritage. Names leaning on lineage and pedigree.
- Track Humour. Lighter, wordplay-driven names.
- Racing Power. Names suggesting speed and strength.
- Mystic Shadow. Darker, more atmospheric names.
- Lucky Charm. Names playing on fortune.
Themes are worth cycling through even when you know the tone you want. The generator combines the parent names differently under each one, and a theme you would not have chosen often produces the fragment that leads somewhere.
Check before you commit
The panel carries its own warning: these are AI-generated names and should be reviewed for appropriateness before use. Take that seriously, and treat every suggestion as a starting point.
Three checks are worth doing before you settle on one.
Availability. Names are registered with the racing authority in your jurisdiction, and a name already in use, recently retired or protected cannot be taken. The Assistant does not check any register, so a name you like may not be available.
Character limits and format rules. Most authorities cap the length and restrict punctuation, numerals and initials. Rules differ between countries, so check the ones that apply where the horse will race.
Meaning in other languages. Thoroughbreds are traded internationally. A name that reads well in English may not elsewhere, and it is worth a moment's thought if the horse might be sold abroad.
Beyond the rules, apply your own judgement. A generated name has no awareness of what it might suggest to a reader, whether it echoes a well-known horse or person, or how it will sound called over a public address system.
