Understanding our Inglis Broodmare Report

Our hypothetical sales report integrates essential data and proven predictive algorithms to provide a comprehensive analysis of potential matings. We have created a unique offering which will showcase the top 10 stallions for each mare sold at a sale.

Lot 9 - Inglis Chairmans Sale

The Filters

We evaluate each lot in the sale and theoretically pair her with a selection of stallions from Australia and New Zealand that have a stud fee exceeding $30,000 (Any filter can be applied to sort application stallions including location, stud fee, stud farm, key ancestors, etc).

Stallion Match

Like other pedigree rating systems, our aim at Stallion Match is to help users understand the potential of a pedigree. However, we've taken a unique approach by opting for bands over fluctuating ratings for clarity and stability.

Our system includes three distinct bands:

  1. Perfect Match: This top tier shows that the pedigree not only has multiple stakes winners with at least a 65% match over five generations but also features matching ancestors in each quarter of the pedigree when compared to the stakes winners.
  2. 20/20 Match: Signifies that the pedigree includes multiple stakes winners with at least a 65% match over five generations.
  3. Nothing/Blank: Indicates that the pedigree is largely unproven.

This band system allows users to quickly gauge the pedigree's success and compatibility potential in a straightforward and consistent manner.

A Perfect Match pedigree has an 8 times better chance of becoming a stakes winner

The 20/20 Match rating will double your chance of becoming a stakes winner

The Pedigree Chart

We believe the Pedigree Chart can and should offer more insights than what is traditionally included.

Each ancestor in the first two generations will feature a brief summary tag. If this horse has progeny that have won stakes races, the tag will highlight the highest level achieved, such as "Multiple G1 Producer." If the horse has not produced any stakes winners but has won a stakes race itself, we will display that achievement instead, such as "G2 Winner."

Duplicate ancestors within the pedigree are also shaded in the following manner:

Impact Profile Summary

The G1 Goldmine Impact Profiles are exclusively based on pedigree and generate 20 individual ratings for a variety of pedigree cross-matches for each lot. This data draws from stakes-winning outcomes worldwide. Each cross results in an Impact Score rating, which is then colour-coded to clearly indicate positive and negative evaluations.

  • Red indicates a negative outcome, signifying that the pedigree cross has performed below expectations.
  • Green denotes a positive outcome, meaning that the pedigree cross has exceeded expectations.
  • Gold is used for exceptional results, indicating that the pedigree cross has performed significantly above expectations.

It is desirable to have a pedigree with as many Gold and Green cells as possible, as these indicate that the performance has surpassed expectations. Red cells, which signify underperformance, should be avoided.

Similar Stakes Winners

This table provides a list of all stakes winners deemed similar to the hypothetical mating, along with their corresponding stakes success, including totals of G1, G2, G3, and Listed (L) wins. Additionally, we feature a "Similarity" score expressed as a percentage, which quantifies the degree of similarity between each stakes winner and the mating. The goal is to find more stakes winners with a high similarity score, indicating a closer resemblance to your selected pedigree. This measure helps you gauge the potential success of your hypothetical mating, offering a clearer perspective on its prospects based on proven, similar examples.

Predicted Distance Profile

This chart is a straightforward bubble chart that visually represents all similar stakes winners, with distance plotted on the horizontal x-axis and age on the vertical y-axis. The size of each dot corresponds to the number of stakes winners at that specific Age/Distance intersection—the more stakes winners there are at a particular point, the larger the dot.

This visual tool allows you to quickly identify the most successful age and distance combinations for similar stakes winners, providing insights into potential sweet spots for breeding or racing strategies. The Rating

After considering all the aforementioned factors, along with the specific nicking stakes winners to runners strike rates for Sire/Dam Sire and Grand Sire/Dam Sire, the algorithm assigns a percentage rating out of 100. A score above 65% is regarded as desirable, while a score below 40% is considered less desirable. The algorithm also considers an additional 20 individual data points when determining the rating.
